Born in Argentina, Virginia has got an MSc in Sustainable Environmental Management from the Natural Resources Institute (2007, UK) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Warwick Business School (2018, UK). Her past experience includes project management at Africa Conservation Fund of an alternative fuels programme in Virunga National Park in DR Congo, project management in Tai National Park, Ivory Coast, for Proyecto Gran Simio, project management of the registered CDM and Gold Standard ICSEA Programme of Activities from Uganda Carbon Bureau in East Africa, and currently serves as a strategic adviser to several organisations seeking access to carbon finance mechanisms in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Business Consultant

Born in Colombia, Naty spent most of her life in the USA where she attended school and obtained a Finance degree from the University of Houston. Naty has worked in multiple industries in North America and in Africa. She understands distribution, logistics, procurement, credit and commercial needs of an organization. She conducts detailed networking and market-research to provide clients with solutions to offset their carbon emissions. Naty also plays an instrumental role is securing new partnerships for Simoshi’s project portfolio growth.

Robert Mutengeke
Robert Mutengeke

Training and Maintenance

Robert was born in eastern Uganda, and is a passionate farmer during his spare time. He has worked for over a decade in a school kitchen and today he trains kitchen staff on how best to operate the institutional improved cook stoves (IICS), while inspecting and providing maintenance whenever needed. Robert is also responsible for supervising the quality assurance of the IICS at the manufacturer, as Simoshi places the orders from the schools.

Charity Namwaze

Administrator

Charity was born and raised in Masaka, Western Uganda, where she attended both primary and secondary schools. She is responsible for taking care of Simoshi’s office and administrative work, and you will be speaking to her first when calling our office lines.

Marius Ninsiima
Marius Ninsiima

IICS Testing

Marius was born in Bushenyi, Western Uganda, and has recently graduated from Kampala International University with a Bachelor in Business Administration. Marius has previously worked as a marketeer with a travel agency, and has a year of experience in the field promoting local travel. She helps Simoshi when testing the institutional improved cook stoves (IICS) in operation is schools since 2016.

Emmanuel Igaga
Emmanuel Igaga

Researcher - Biofuels

Emmanuel has just finalised his Bachelor of Environmental Technology and Management at Kyambogo University. His previous work experience includes data entry, research and report writing at the Climate Change Department . Today Emmanuel is helping Simoshi understand the transition towards cleaner fuels and how the new methodologies can be implemented in the school setup.
